Celebrating a Century: Unveiling the Milestone Anniversary You Might Not Expect
Some other stuff about consultancy and dog poo.
Good Morning,
I’m in Chamonix celebrating the centenary of the first Olympic Winter Games, held here in 1924. As such, this week's stuff has been truncated to allow for maximum celebrations.
Shares in Superdry soared 90% this week. Superdry customers are a bit like U2 fans, there’s a clearly a lot of them but I’m not sure I actually know one. Meta has also been having a cracking week with its value soaring by $200bn. Big tech is back it seems.
It’s a big year for elections which has been kicked off by McKinsey who reelected Bob Sternfels after a leadership challenge from Rodney ‘Rodders’ Zemmel who runs their digital practice. McKinsey and consultants more broadly hold a warm place in everyone’s heart and it will of course thrill everyone to learn the UK is a consulting powerhouse. Turns out management consultancy is the UK’s fourth largest export.
Meanwhile, there is a forensic-led crack down on dog poo in Bolzano underway, no one is quite sure what the legal status of cryogenically preserved billionaires is and AI is leading to the democratisation of gaming.
Feel the rhythm,

Good read, and I think it’s $200bn..!
